Meyerhold's Biomechanics Class
Kineshetic Movement Training for Actors
Stringing the Bow and other études
Biomechanics proposes a choreographic approach to the creation of character. It is sometimes called "the physical Stanislavsky" , as Meyerhld was considered his protégé. The body of the actor must speak as eloquently as the voice. Meyerhold emphasized emotional effect upon the audience over the personal emotional experience of the actor.

This work is about the balance between freedom and form. It is a rigorous training which builds strength, suppleness, precision, control and daring.

"The directing work of Meyerhold was an illustration of the possibilities of the theatre which is still unparalleled. – Lee Strasberg

Mr. Altomare reconstructed the movement studies, which are learned as a series of poses and transitional movements, much like yoga asanas. He is one of the few people in the world who can teach and present these etudés authoritatively. His further development of Biomechanics which he calls Jazz Acting is indispensable in evoking the inner life of the character through physical means.
